MEET DAVID

     Judge Glancy received his bachelor's degree from Hope College in 2001 and then graduated from Michigan State University - College of Law in 2004. David has been admitted to practice law in Michigan for twenty years.

     With twenty years of law practice in the areas of criminal law, family law, probate law, and civil litigation, Judge Glancy has the knowledge and experience necessary to apply the law in a manner that is fair and impartial. David has represented clients in serious criminal matters, including homicide, criminal sexual conduct, home invasion, and drug charges. Additionally, he has extensive experience in family law, handling divorce, custody, parenting time, and neglect-abuse cases. He has also worked with families in estate planning, adoptions, guardianship, and conservatorship proceedings, helping clients plan for the future and care for their family. Finally, he is well-versed in civil litigation, including real property and contract disputes, personal injury, and premises liability cases.

 

     Judge Glancy was appointed to the position of Lake County Probate Judge upon the retirement of Judge Mark Wickens. Prior to the appointment as Judge, David served Lake County as the Magistrate and Friend of the Court Referee for two years. Since taking the bench, Judge Glancy has presided over all circuit, district, and probate matters and has demonstrated fairness, impartiality, and knowledge of the legal proceedings before the court. Judge Glancy has demonstrated his commitment to serving the community with integrity, compassion, and dedication to upholding the principles of justice and the rule of law. If elected to continue to serve the people of Lake County as your Judge, he will work hard to ensure that everyone who enters the courtroom has access to the legal system, receives a fair and impartial hearing, and is treated with respect.

 

     Judge Glancy brings a wealth of experience, integrity, and dedication to the judicial office. He would be honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve the residents of Lake County as Probate Judge and humbly asks for your support in the upcoming election.
